Oracle Making Another Big Purchase
By Qushawn Clark
Technology giant Oracle has recently purchased RightNow for a staggering 1.5 billion dollars.

RightNow Technologies is a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) software for large scale applications. They are also leading the pack with respect to cloud-based CRM software, and this is much of the reason Oracle has picked them up.

This move really doesn't come as much of a surprise, as Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce.com, recently criticized Oracle for not being committed enough to cloud computing. Benioff was supposed to speak at Oracle's OpenWorld Convention, but was removed from the program as tensions rose between him and the company.
