Gameplay Steam Version (Underlord Mod) ...if you had read the FAQ you would have noticed that it warns people, if you play the mod with an OLD TQIT character, you WILL lose all your stats/skill points. That happens with ALL mastery mods for TQIT. Look at it this way: the game can only handle 9 masteries at once. If you replace them with new masteries, the game doesn't recognize the old masteries anymore. When you play a mod with the old masteries, it doesn't recognize them because it's trying to give you your skills from the mod, which you don't have. So, you receive nothing. Each skill is tied to a file, when these files aren't found, you're assigned skillpoints to nonexistant skills, get it? Go to Thread | Gameplay Titan Quest Blog just a quick return to the discussion on normal vs epic vs legendary. I don't agree with anyone else here! I mean, skipping normal? You're skipping te entire transformation progress of your character, this is the basic of any rpg game. And I honestly don't get why you'd want to play an rpg game in this manner. If you start your char on level 40 and in epic, you haven't grown into it like you should have and playing a toon like that can never grant you the satisfaction a proper one would. Epic is a testcase in many ways, epic is where you start getting hints of the trouble you might be experiencing for real in legendary. This part of the game gives you the possibility to finetune your toon, and in the final act of epic you start to realise what your strengths and weaknesses are. But I don't understand why anyone would play so many characters and not get them to the end of the game? Hydra the only new challenge in that entire difficulty? Hydra is a joke compared to legendary typhon or the final parts of act 4. If you don't finish legendary with a character, you simply haven't played the game with it, imo. If I hadn't finished the game with my dreamkiller, I'd still be thinking he is one of the strongest and best classes out there. Because I never had any trouble with him until I reached act 4 on legendary. There I had to think again, respec a little bit and adapt new strategies, otherwise I'd have never made it. That's the whole point of a slasher rpg like this or diablo, it's basicly the three stages of life we go through. Go to Thread Members: 53,584 | Posts:397,402 | Threads:35,507 | |
